Alderson Large Lake
ALDERSON LARGE LAKE is currently our premier carp water with fish upto 36lb+, Tench and Bream to double figures and pike to 28lb and a large silver fish stock.
Alderson Lakes are situated just outside Needham Market. These lakes are entirely owned by the society and as such are the focus of most of the clubs re-stocking policy. Some pegs at this venue are particularly suitable for disabled anglers with easy and close car access and firm and level bases. Also at this site we have toilet facilities which are available for all members, male, female and disabled. (Keys are obtainable from the General Secretary).
Two sections of the River Gipping are fishable within the boundaries of the site providing the river angler with opportunities to sample flowing water sport, in particular Chub fishing.
The complex is open to fishing throughout the year with no close season restrictions to the stillwaters. Night fishing is allowed only on the large lake subject to the purchase of a night ticket; see rule book for restrictions.
